I am looking for a hood from a '79-'81 280zx n/a. In great shape, no dents, and the vents intact. I need it for the theme, I doing for my '82 slicktop. I am willing to trade straight across for my '83 280zx n/a hood. (local would be preferred). Of course if you are too far away, it wouldn't be feasible with the high shipping.

Good luck finding a clean hood. I have a new OEM Nissan hood for my 81 sitting in a box in my shed... cost me $600 ten years ago.

Thanks man, for the information. It looks like I found one locally here. I can get the hood, and 2 fenders that go with it, for $160. All in nice shape, no dents. I'll let you all know, if I get them or not. Got to get some money first. heh heh

Oh, and I wasn't looking for a pristene clean hood. Just one I can work with, that is straight.

Just an update, somebody contacted me on the hood. Maybe I will be able to sell it. They are getting harder to find. Since Pontiac is no longer around. Things are going to go up eventually.

I did end up selling the '76 formula hood a while ago. But I still need the '79-'81 non turbo hood. And NismoPick I tried to find it locally on the web, but got nowhere. Could you post some links to places that have it? Appreciate it, and thanks.

 

Might have found one. It will be a little bit of a trek. He lives in Glendale. But for $75 it's not too bad. I asked for some pictures from him. So I know it will be worth the trip. I plan on driving up there without a hood, and driving back with the one I get.

 

Well I after I replied a couple of times, I got no response. Kind of irritating, so I am still looking for one.
