howabout this. your idea is stupid, because if you can't get the carb'd car to run, you can't do the swap, and we all know you can't afford to get someone to do it. snw said he won't help you with info on the swap, and i doubt anyone else will either (and don't even tell me you will look it up because if you would then you would have done so to get the carbed car running).

so, because i think that getting this car running would break down a barrier that you have and really help to get you the little bit of confidence that you need to be able to do this stuff, i, will krom, will voulunteer to give what help and experience that i have to help you get the carb'd engine running. then you can think about the swap later...

this is largely because i believe that if you, TOF, take that engine out, another one will never go in.
so basically i suck right? and it's weird the carbs won't work they suck

no, you suck at working on them. if they have been sitting for a long time, they need to be rebuilt.

don't take it too harsh. i'm telling it how it is and offering help.
all i said was: your idea sucks, fix the carbed car

doesn't he have SU's...
that won't burn up the motor unless you let it sit still at 4000 rpms for a while. just watch the temp while you are working on it.

choke it for as long as you need to to keep it running. once you can, stop choking it.

so it idle's at 4K and then dies after a few?

It doesn't matter... he needs to LEARN something about how carbs work. Just screwing in things isn't going to fix it.

I have parts to make a L28ET. I have a brand new l28et exhaust manifold, and a partially disassembled turbo with a rebuild kit. I also have a N/A long block that needs rings, a headbolt or 2 drilled out ( I have some extra head bolts too) and it needs the bolts to bolt the valve cover on. I also have a turbo valve cover. Hit me up if your interested. I live @ March Air Reserve base.

hey bro ^^^ that flywheel you sold me. ITS WORTHLESS!!!!! ARGH!!!! im so frustrated, not with you just ingeneral. it not resurfaceable since its a replaceable friction surface and tilton only makes integral surfaced flywheels now so they dont have the friction surfaces available! so basically i have a wrothless disc shaped piece of aluminum. i sad also, if you dont have time to fix carb's how the HELL do you have time to do a motor swap and ecu wiring? that job is about 10 times as long if not more.

Why are you so worried about painting it if its not even running good yet?

Like said before, if you cant handle carbs, how the hell are you going to do a turbo swap?

if you tried something, that means you failed something. trying in the world of cars isnt good you enough, you must achieve the goals in which people expect you to accomplish, only then will you truly be "on top of the hill"

i dunno about that. that is a greater then sign, not the better then sign, which suggests the BIGGER number, or greater, and TOF said he was pretty fat...
