Tein Flex installed!

As some of you may know, I recently bought a set of used Tein Flex coilovers along with the EDFC control unit. Bought them slightly used from M3This (Kris) who let me take his new EVO for a spin as part of the deal. Thanks to Ty and Mike for answering my stupid questions during the install, which was pretty simple. The hardest part was getting a few of the OEM suspension bolts off. Second was figuring out where I wanted to mount the EDFC controller. I ended up placing it next to the e-brake, where some of you have seat warmer or VDC switches - between the ash/coin tray and the glove box. I had nothing there since I have the base model, so I cut out a hole and it fits pretty nice there. I just need to find someone to make a permanent mount for me to hold it in place there. Now I can see what a difference this will make on the track. It has absolutely no body roll and corners like mad - I can make 90 degree turns at 30+mph no problem now. I'll probably drop it a little more in the next few weeks, but for now I'm just enjoying having a car that feels like it can really handle the corners now. I'll try to get some pics up tonight!

I should be dropping my car off to VRT this weekend if I don't chicken out.

The track days are pricey, but they are totally worth it. You just can't get that kind of action anywhere else.

I'll be there both days.
The 350Z will be at home.
The black 914 will get some track time.

Good job, Ty! John - is that track event filling up yet? I won't know until a day or two ahead if I can make it, but I'll try!

Rob - Last minute sign up should not be a problem.
There are always less cars on Sunday than on Sat.

Well basically, you use scales under each wheel to measure the weight that each wheel is getting. Then you adjust the ride height on your coilovers until all wheels have equal weight. Perfect 50/50 weight distribution! I just bought scales too.

I'll take you up on that very soon... On my350z just now some guy posted pics of where he mounted his EDFC, which is exactly where I did. So this is my car interior, less the orange and shift ****:http://www.my350z.com/forum/attachme...0&d=1140512295
