Hey Mike - I'm going to have to skip this event, too much crap going on this weekend. Someday we'll make it to the track together.
Get some good videos!

Man that was a good time. Rob, Ty, everybody else, you guys missed out. There were probably only a total of 30 cars there in 3 different run groups so the track was usually clear. Weather wasn't too bad. Here is what I did gather from the event, I need an aftermarket radiator and more power. I will write a full story on my website in a little bit. Here are some cool cars that were there...

Shelby Series 1
Porsche GT2 Cup Car
Porsche GT3s (yes thats plural)
Radicals
1950s Studebaker turned race car
Corvettes
Porsche Carreras

It was basically tons of Porsches some Vettes and some random cars.

Yeah, that might be a lot to ask of your radiator - all out for 20 minutes in 100 degree weather. There's still time to get in on the APS ST group buy (til 27th).

A couple more commission checks and maybe I will be in the market for a turbo kit. Anyways I found a guy selling Koyo racing radiators for $370 shipped. I did a write up on my experience today on my website. www.mikeythekidlv.com/track.html

Nice write up Mike. Some day soon we will get to play together on the track. Was the race prepared Vette you were chasing Marvin's yellow one? He and I run similar times at Pahrump. I followed him for a few laps at the last DE. I never pushed for a pass to see if I could pull away.

I would have enjoyed seeing the new Shelby. I saw them testing a few years ago at the big Speedway road course.

You are doing excellent. Anything under 2 minutes is a very good time.

Stay cool.

Yeah it was Marvin's. I was just impressed that I kept up with him seeing that he has 315 Kumho V710s all the way around and my track tires are Dunlop Super Sport R-Compounds 235 Front 255 Rear.

The new Shelby was beautiful, but it wasn't bieng pushed too hard. The driver was in the student group.

I don't know if I hit the sub 2min mark. I hit the stopwatch in the Z for one lap in my first session and it read 2:01.100 so depending on how acurate it was I think I probably got at least one 1:59.000 or 1:58.000

Oh and by the way, I am negotiating with a dealer was selling Koyo Racing Radiators for $370 shipped. I have PMed him to see if he still has some going for that deal.

I'll be interested in a radiator as well, if that helps.

Yeah the guy posted in the vendor classifieds on the 19th saying that he had six left for $370 shipped. They would help a lot. Another post about the radiator a guy said that he ran for an hour straight in 90 degree weather with no problems.

I was excited with the wheels to, but they are a dark gunmetal. I was also really impressed with the tires given the smaller sizes.

Ok well I just went through my video with a stop watch and my fastest lap was 2:01.12. I also ran a couple of other 2:01second runs, but that was the fastest. Didn't quite reach my goal of 2 minutes flat, but I still shaved 8 seconds of of my last time out.

Good times. Let's see some video.
Here's my idea: 275s all around. How? I don't know, but I've heard of it. Think you could fit them on the front without other changes?

I got 255s into my fronts, I'm not sure if I could get 275s in without a spacer.

How did the Teins work out for you Mike? Any problems? Feel better than the FLICs?

I loved the Teins. I didn't get a chance to track the JICs. The JICs were a little stiffer than the Tiens on full stiff, but with my coilovers, sways, and tires I was holding just as well as a race prepped Porsche GT2. Video of that coming soon to prove it. It was just in the straights that he blew me away.

Looks like the server auto compressed it to save space. Not sure how you get around that.

That's what I use. It came with my Vaio on XP. Run a fire wire from the camera to the pc, it practically does the rest.
