So what tires did you get for the track, Mike? When I was out there a few weeks ago, this G35 had 315R and 285f on Kumhos. Sick. Scary.

Well the tires I got came with the wheels. They are smaller than what I would have put on there, but they were basically free. They are Dunlop Super Sport Race tires 235 Front 255 Rear. They look like the Dunlop Sport 9000s but are an R compound. Even though they are smaller, they should be WAY better than street tires. We'll see how fast I can burn them up and throw some 255/275 Kumhos on there.

That's the size I'm running. You're prob on 18's, mine are 17. Hey - I ordered some Hawk HP Plus pads for the front - I can just drop those in the calipers and them bed them in, right?

Rob - If you want you can come over Friday night. Thats when I will be getting my car ready for Sunday. We can do your brake pads then. I can show you how much easier it is to change the pads on the Brembos .

Also, I just got the confirmation letter from the PCA/SCCA and it says that we will need a flame resistant long sleeve shirt. I am going to order one from SummitRacing.com for about $60. Its and RCI Single Layer Flame-Retardent jacket. Summit Racing is in Reno so it only takes 2-3 days to get. I was going to get some fireproof clothing anyway, but I guess I will just speed up the process for this weekend.

That's insane. There's flame resistant and then there's fireproof. Can we get away with cotton?

I just called them to see - he said "as long as it's not polyester, which will melt right into you." Also said that I'll be ok registering at the track that morning, so I'll probably go. Plenty of room available right now he said. I think I will take you up on the brake lesson on Friday, but I'm going to take a crack at doing it myself if they come in the next day or two.

I've got a 10x10 EZ up that you guys can use. You might need to weigh it down with something depending on how the wind is though.

No tent here - we should take Ty up on the EZ up. Will that fit in a Z? Otherwise, it's not worth the trouble.

Now that I think about it, I am probably going to bring the truck. I dont really like leaving all of my stuff out there while I am on the track. Plus the truck has a DVD player. And we can use Ty's tent.

+1 on the Gmeter.

Another note: Rob, I just found a $h!t ton of pictures of your car from the Racer Factory event at SMMR. I sifted through 2,500 pictures from Saturday and came up with 30+ of you. I am about to go through Sunday's now. Give me your e-mail address so I can send them to you.

The EZ up should fit in a Z, it's only about the size of a small golf bag.
