Vegas 350Z Club Where its all about Sin City and the 350Z..

Is this normal?

Is this normal?

On my 06' 350Z. I hear the noise coming out from tranny(i belive frywheel) after you shut off the engine. At the Nissan dealer told me its happen on every 350Z.

is it like a chatter sound?? if so, then press the clutch while shutting off the car

Yep. That's the dual mass flywheel. Sound goes away (and clutch gets much easier to modulate) when you replace it with an aftermarket flywheel.

I had the same question would I bought my Z. I hate that noise, but they say its normal.

mine has done it on startup and shutdown since day 1....even with all the tranny's and the clutch I replaced.
