The funny thing about the gas pumps at laguna were that they were near the eating area.....where everyone was smoking.....needless to say I didnt stick around too long to eat my bbq sandwhich after seeing that potential disaster, lol.

Actually, on MythBusters they couldn't get a cigarette to light gasoline on fire. It doesn't burn hot enough.

Really....that is interesting...I must have missed that episode. Even still though, that ironic situation reminded me of the Zoolander movie and the "freak gasoline fight" accident and I just couldn't sit there anymore, lol.

I did get to take a fan lap....While we waited to get on the course I spoke with the guy in front of me (M3) and the guy behind me (z06 Vette). We made a deal that if they tried to make it a slow fan lap that we would hang back and take off once the pace car got far enough ahead. Unfortuantly they stuck a scion tc in front of us at the last minute which messed up our plan. But we still hung back until the CHIPS who were hired to monitor the lap started to yell at us to get moving. So we topped out only like at 90...the corkscrew though...**** man I have a new appreciation for that turn, thats for sure. But even though we didnt get to open it up as much as I would have liked it was still nice to get to drive on that track.

(And I made up for the slow fan lap on Hwy 198 on the way home )

Even though it was slow I would most definitely do it again....it was worth the trip. I video taped the run, but since I couldnt open my Z up the video is rather boring.

Actually it is....I also played forza when I got home and they did a great job with that track....GT did a better jb however in that when your approaching the corkscrew on the track in real life the is nothing bu sky above that ridge....you have NO IDEA what is waiting for you on the other side. GT captures that effect better then forza in my opinion.
