I need my wheels repaired ASAP!

Whats up guys,

Anyone know where I can get the lips on my wheels repaired? Earlier this evening I ran over a HUGE piece of metal on the 95 damaging three of my wheels. The driver side wheel has the most damage. Air shoots out with every rotation.

I got an estimate of $125 per wheel from D & H Wheel Repair which isn't too bad but, it'll take 3-5 business days to complete. Between work & school I just can't wait that long. So, If anyone knows where I can get this done in a shorter amount of time & maybe a little cheaper, please let me know.

This has been a really crappy month so far. A couple of weekends ago this idiot at Best Buy on Sunset backs into my car damaging my bumper & now this. Aggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I think I need Jesus in my life to make my problems go away.

Hahaha. Try The Shine Shop or 360 Auto.

Awesome, thanks. I don't know about the Shine Shop though. They powder coated my previous set of wheels & they did a terrible job. They did however do a good job at polishing the lip of the wheels.

Oh well, I'll call them both tomorrow I'm desperate.

thanks again

or just find somebody with a set of stockers laying around and borow em for a lil bit. That way you can still roll while the repair is being done. Im going to have my GT-7's lips redone and repolisehed and get them back into near new shape, so let me know where you go and how the service and work is

Well, thats because they specialize in polishing and anodizing not powdercoating. The did a great job polishing a set of wheels for me. Their shop smells so bad though.

thanks everyone,

360 is slammed & they are on the other side of town from me so I might have to go with the Shine Shop. They say it can be done by the end of the day.
+1 on the smell in that place. It probably has something to do with those huge dogs they have running around behind the counter.

Anyway, if all else fails, anyone have some stockers laying around that I can borrow? I'll try my best to avoid huge transmission like objects on the freeway

Also, what happened at 360 Nforce?

John, when would you need the stockers? Kelli has her stockers, but she we are going to put them back on her car probably tonight while she gets her wheel fixed at Shine Shop. If the timing works out then I could ask her if she is willing to lend them out.

EDIT: If worse comes to worse and you are desperate, I have my stockers as well, but they have Hoosier racing slicks on them lol. Just hope it doesn't rain .

DAMN!

I looked at the driver side rim closer & one of the spokes is cracked. Is that even repairable?

Ouch! That's pretty bad. I'd imagine that most shops wouldn't want to take on the liability of an aluminum weld repair like that. Might be time to write them off on an insurance claim.

thanks for the offer. I really do appreciate it. I was planning on replacing the front driver wheel with the donut for the time being. My car is still driveable, the other wheels aren't nearly as damaged as the front one.

I don't know what to do. I think you're right Roneski, I might have to put in a claim. This sucks.

To make a long story short about 360, I had to go back to them 3 times for them to find out/fix what felt like a lopsided wheel.

I went once for them to fix one wheel, I left and still had the same problem... turned around and went back and their response was "Oh maybe its the other wheel" so then I payed to have the other wheel done. I left, and still had the same problem ... By this time, I just didnt have time to turn around and go back again. Finally a couple weeks later, I find out from another shop that it might be hub centric rings. So I make my way back to 360, they tell me that thats the problem and they can order them for me for another $20.

So basicly my beef with them is, they diagnosed the problem wrong twice and it costed me $250.... When it was really only a $20 issue

But I guess in your case, there really is no mis-diagnosing the problem

hey guys,

Well, my wheels are a total loss. My insurance will not cover the cost of these wheels because they are aftermarket. So, with the check they are cutting me i'll have a couple hundred after my $500 deductible.

If anyone is wiiling to let me borrow their stockers before Thursday I'd really appreciate it. I need them so the body shop can do an alignment & thats when the rent a car goes back.

Also, if anyone wants to trade your 17" or 18" stockers with some 18X8, 18X9 G-Games Falcons with Falken tires, let me know. These are the wheels that got a bad powdercoat. The offsets are pretty bad too but probably could be fixed with some spacers. They are in California right now & I can get them here in a couple of weeks. The tires have about 90% thread left.

Here are a couple of pics when they were on my car. Sorry for the bad quality, they were taken with a cell phone.

Thanks
John
