I was on my way to base this morning, and this black, (as far as I can see) cosmetically tricked out Stang GT pulled up to me at Lamb and Craig. We were at the light and suddenly I heard his engine rev, so I decided to go for it. Light turned green, peeled out on first, hit 6200 rpm, dropped to second, hit 6200 rpm, then hit third. By that time, I had his front bumper next to my rear. He backed off afterwards. When we got to Nellis and Craig, I slowed down, and waited for him. I told him that's a pretty fast ride and so on, and I guess his reason for not 'winning' was that he was "on the phone and that he couldn't hear" (?). He also told me that he ran a 12.9 at the track. After that, I hauled *** to base because I was running late. So that was the high point of my day.

 

If he really could run a 12.9 there's no way in hell that you should have been able to beat him, cell phone or otherwise. Sounds like BS on his part.

 

Couldn't hear? WTF? I don't care if you are on the cell phone or not, a 12.9 second stang should be able to walk a stock 350Z without even trying. Good kill.

Correction: the Stang was an '05 GT.
