9/13/05 Meeting Minutes
9/13/05 Meeting Minutes
Sorry I'm late getting this posted, but here is my first attempt at meeting minutes...
Biz:
The Dog Dayz Pool Party was a hit. We will definitely plan this again next summer.
We have more Upstate Z Club Stickers on order. There are two types: Upstate Z Club text and the club logo.
We are looking at buying another round of Upstate Z Club T-shirts and hats.
In the October and November meetings we will need to begin planning our Christmas Party.
Eventz:
In chronological order...
9/19 - Do It Yourself Auto Class- 2 Nights Per week (Mon, Tues) for 10 weeks begins at J. Harley Bonds Career Center in Greer, SC. 6:30-9:30 pm Cost is $75 for the class. ASE Certified Mechanic is on hand to instruct/help/advise. Access to lifts, alignment machine, fuel injector cleaner, specialty equipment and they have a DYNO!
10/11 - October Monthly Meeting - Fatz Cafe, Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC, 7:00 pm.
10/15 - Upstate Z Club's Fall Drive! - Don't miss one of our best trips. We are headed back to the mountains! Leaves should be turning. We will meet at Bojangles on Hwy 29/Wade Hampton Blvd. in Greer, SC at 8:00 am on Saturday 10/15. We will head up through the mountains and stop at Brian Wilmot's house for Hot Dogs at 1:30. There is a special surprise that Robert is putting together that has a 15 car limit. If we have more than a 15 car turn out, we may have to temporarily park a few cars and car pool for the 'surprise' portion of the event.
Thanks to Robert Tolar for coordinating this year's event. Please RSVP to him. Bring your family band 2-way radios. This helps us stay together and enjoy some chatter during the drive.
10/14-10/16 - Eurofest Car Show and Autocross at BMW - This event coincides with our fall drive, but you can still check out some cool European sports cars Friday, Saturday evening, and Sunday. Autocross is Saturday. The theme this year is a spotlight on cars of Italy. I'm told there will be some impressive cars with bulls and horses on them.
10/29 - Georgia Z Club Car Show - Sutherlin Nissan Mall in Atlanta. Check out Georgiazclub.com for more details. Many classes to enter including a daily driver class. Cars don't have to be pristine show-quality to enter.
11/8 - November Monthly Meeting - Fatz Cafe, Woodruff Road, Greenville, SC, 7:00 pm.

UPDATE ON GZC CAR SHOW!
Thomas emailed us an update about the Georgia Z Club Car Show. I wanted to include the info on here for those who might not be on the e-mailing list.
Here's what the Prez Says...
News flash!!
I just found out that the Georgia Z car show will be on Oct. 22. I do not have a confirmation on the location. Sutherlin Nissan would be a good bet. I should know for sure, Monday at the latest. (10/3)
