HELP: New I/C etc'd 280Z warm restart stinks
Hi, I've had a NPR I/C, DSM blow off valve, modified pop off valve, Greddy Profec B and Blitz timer/boost controller on my car about 2 weeks, and I've found the car will sputter and won't respond to throttle, except to stall out, for about 45 seconds until it finally revs up/responds to throttle position. This occurs after the car has been driven, then sits for a short period and is then restarted. My suspicion is it is a sticking BOV, since I have heard some really weird noises underhood when it is below 50 degrees and a cold restart (it sounds like a bad New Years Eve party horn), and otherwise, I haven't heard anything that sounds like a blow off valve sigh or pleasant sound!
I just don't understand why warm restarts would do this...what else should I look for? Should I simply replace the BOV? Has anyone had a similar situation? Does it sound like too rich or too lean? What other things might be happening here? Speculation welcome, as this kind of thing ain't that easy to solve and is a bitch when it's an intermittent!
John-83 280ZXT, 50K miles, tuned, new wires/cap/rotor, ran great until I/C install...should say the idle's a bit rough...happy ZX-mas!!!
