I am 2/3 the way through my conversion. The engine/transmission are mounted and wired. Just need cooling, driveshaft, and exhaust to complete.

For motor mounts I used late 60's/ early 70's chevy truck motor mounts, as in the JTR manual. I made spacers to go between the motor mounts and the engine block; 1.38" thick on passenger side and 2.75" on drivers side. The chevy truck motor mounts then bolt up to the Datsun crossmember. Quite simple, really.

Pete,
The motor is a 91 350 truck motor from a Chevy G-30 one ton van. The engine is rebuilt, stock compression. The heads are "cleaned up" stock 194's with dual springs. It has a Performer intake with a Holley 600 double pump carb. The cam specs are 488/510 lift and 295/305 dur. hydraulic. Power is running through a performance rebuilt 700R4 with a 2200 stall converter into a single leg R-200 with 3.70 gears. Exhaust will be dual 2 1/4" to single 3" through a Flowmaster dual chamber muffler to back of car. GM manifolds are being used, due to stearing box. Ramshorn on passenger side and manifold casting number 364747 on the drivers side. This manifold has a notch that clears the stearing box. In the future I plan on fabricating a custom header to fit around the box.and use a block hugger on the passenger side.

I've been considering doing a Banks TT SBC 350 swap for a while now. Man, that would be freaking insane. Just a matter of money though.
