steering gone bad..

Yup...i dont have any. The pump went out a few weeks ago, and i just got the pump replaced...and the powersteering worked fine for about a week or so. Then, out of nowhere, It just quit working. The only thing ive noticed is that when you turn the steering wheel to the right and left so far, it will make a poping noice that you can hear, and feel in the steering wheel....fluids are great. I dont know what the deal is. Electrical perhaps?? i dunno. Any help is appreciated.

Did you replace it with a new pump or one from a junkyard? Also, did you check for any blockage in the steering rack (i.e. loose rubber in the gears...etc...). Do you have over sized tires that may be binding up the sterring mechs.... Geez, I could go on all day.... umm....just check out the linkage..lemme know what you find.

It was a new pump..and come to think of it, it does feel like some rubber is binding up the steering rack, ill check that and let ya know..thanks!

Hey!..guess what!..i was riding down town for a quick bite to eat, and guess what happened....My right tie rod completely snapped!..it fell off, and my car began happily bouncing down the road. So, if anything, i bet this was the problem..maybe?
