Need help with exhaust

Hey everyone, this is my first time ever posting in this forum, so here goes nothing. The previous own of my 90 n/a z32 had the cats replaced by some shop, where all they did was cut the old cats out, from the flanges, which btw makes no sense to me why they would cut out the flanges, and they welded the news cats straight into the exhaust. The other thing they did was that the 2 cats where wider then stock and so did not fit side by side, so they decided to just run one of the cats a little further back. What I'm mostly looking for a is a good place in my area, or someone that knows what they are doing, to just get her back to stock. I haven't decided whether to go test pipe or with replacement cats, since the ones in there are clanking away, figured you goes might help me with that decision too. Anyways, any information would be great, thank you. Btw, I live in Secaucus, little town in Northern NJ.

Know of any Z meets in your area? Also this forum's fairly small, try expanding to a few others to get a broader search. If you're patient though a lot of the members here are quite helpful.

On another Forum I post on, someone found a Duel In Duel Out SEPARATE CHAMBERS Cat Converter..

One Converter that is actually two Cat Converters in the Same Housing..

I have not seen it, but it's reported to be small.. wonder if chasing down that cat might work?..
