door panel interchangeability
I know that 84, 85 door panels won't work in an 86 but I don't know if 87 on up will. tried a search but didn't pull anything up specific. Anyone know the answer?

All door panels will work in the 86-89 models, but you'll need to get the 84/85 lock/handle rods and relocate the interior door handles. The holes are there for them already.
But you will not be able to use the 86-89 style door panels in the 84/85 models without modifying the door shell. The location for the handles is not precut and there are some slight differences in the metal surface that makes it a little more work than simply cutting the hole.
You CAN NOT use 2+2 door panels in a 2 seater and vice versa. But the arm rests are completely interchangable for all years/all number of seats.
