JWT ECU Question 93TT
JWT ECU Question 93TT
Will a 93tt JWT ECU work in a 91tt. I purchased a used one . The only upgrade I have is a K&N single filter. With the ecu in the car, it started fine, but after a couple of second it started to run rough and then shut of, I could keep it running if I gave it gas but it still ran rough. Put the old ecu back and it runs fine.
tag on the ecu says : P.o.p Upgrade package 93 300zx turbo fed AT
EZ323 TAF00
I did post the same message on Twinturbo.net
Need help thanks

You might want to give JWT a call.
If I recall correctly, the eprom changed in the ECU after 92 (8 bit to 16 bit I beleive).
Also, is your TT a 5speed or an automatic? Looks like the 93 ECU you have is for an auto.
Don't quote me on this. Again, you might be best to give JWT a call directly. They can surely give you a quick and easy answer.

Thanks Dan for the reply. I pulled the back off of the ECU to look around and found rust on the bottom of the module and on some the components I think this may be part of the problem. Do you know if the chip is the only differents between a standard ecu and the jwt. I have a standby ecu I can swap the chip into if that is the only differents . Thanks for your help
