Depends on what year engine and where on the engine you want pics of the vaccume lines.
Mine is different around the throttle body since I put the larger throttle on.

I'll take some pics of the all stock '83 engines I have in my "parts" cars. (MY parts!)
they're dirty, but it'll be a good reference for future questions.

since we're on the topic of vacume lines . . . can anybody tell me what this is? it started making a, i dunno, weak souding rattle or sucking noise internaly and when i disconnect the vacume line leading to it the noise stops, but to my knowledge does not hinder engine performance. what is it and whats it do?

Its located just under the idle adjustment

Oh no! Not the internal combustion inhibitor! Replace the hose so maybe it won't "suck".

Part of that thing is the idle speed screw. Here you can see the '83 one looks slightly different.

so . . .

the noise maker is the BCDD (Boost Control Deceleration Device) this device is vacuum operated and controls the engine RPM when the clutch is disengaged coming to a stop. It is designed to bring the engine idle down slowly. It is actually part of the emission system. The noise I was hearing is a leak in the unit.

I believe the lines you are talking about are coolant lines that run along the side of the engine. There is a small metal fitting that sticks off the side of the engine just below the spark plugs near the firewall that they connect to. Are those the lines you are talking about?

Ok, I just looked. I found one line coming out of the passenger side of the firewall. It ran to the vacuum tank and connected to the thing with the yellow cap on it (the connection to the left and slightly lower). I hope that helps.

I've got mine capped off at both ends, and it makes the car sound good when you shift down at a light. This will stop the rattle as well...
