Where is O NO???? He's got the keys to this site and is never around.....
ill be admin, im on at least once a day and can delete **** stuff if needed. i think nismopick would make a great admin too, today the 13th, there are like 20 **** spams in the wanted section. the word filter would be good. btw where the heck has entropy been, havent heard from him in some time.
I don't understand, are moderators not able to delete threads/miserable users as needed? Is the owner of the site just against hacking VB even if it's for the best of his/her community? I'm not ragging or anything, just trying to get a better understanding.
Here's a quick thread that I yanked from the other forum that I'm a supermod on:
As you can see it has "trigger words" that spambuster will automatically yank it from public view and post it in a place where moderators/supermods/admins can review it and decide whether or not it's okay for public view. It also will take the person that posted the thread/post and automatically put them in Mod Q so that if they try to post anything else at all before the post is reviewed they will be unsuccessful.
And yes, I'm a supermod of a Honda Civic forum. The owner is a great guy and I love to be able to help him out. No ricer here (can't say that for there but hey, lol).
Just thought I'd share in case what I was saying before wasn't clear.

Does anyone know the invoice pricing for 2009 Civics. I'm currently negotiating a 2009 Civic Si Sedan and have them down to $20,900 (with some stuff such as a trunk mat, wheel locks and mud flaps) including destination (tax, tags, etc. are NOT included in the price).
Reason asking is that I cannot seem to find invoice pricing for 2009 models yet online and it's kind of hurting my upper hand when trying to negotiate.
Let me know what you guys think. It's a buyers market right now and I'm trying to get the most bang for my buck here. Thanks fellas!

Apparently "O NO" doesn't care to be helpful much... I've PM'd him more than once to fix this spam problem. I just went to vbulletin.com & there are tons of ways to prevent spammers from hitting the forum like this.
Many forum admins don't allow new users to post links in their threads until they've reached 5 / 10 posts. There's also many plug-ins to prevent this as well.
Good hell...

There are several moderators and/or Admins but to me it seems as though I'm the only one deleting threads. Several threads, several times a day is getting annoying for me. If I'm gone for a few days then there are 100 threads to delete.
the actual owner of the site pays no attention to it. Maybe once a year i hear of him doing something or posting once. O NO is a new admin with the proper access to modify the software of the forum. he was helping out a bit at first but then moved on to other things.
I see he stopped by yesturday though.
So as far as I know, I just have to keep deleting threads by myself. it doesn't really solve the problem though. I'm just on permanent cleanup duty.
like i've said before, i know the mod club is pretty sacred, but if there's anything i can do to help, like being provided with just the power to delete crap threads, i'd be glad to do it. my schedule puts me on here at about 4 different times of day about 6 days a week. anything else needed, do call
