I feel that navigating this site is not as easy as I originally thought.

Everytime I get to this site, I must admit, I'm drawn to the classifieds. But every time I get to this site, I can never find it. I ended up posting an advertisement for a Supercharger I'm selling and inadvertantly posted it in the wrong section without even realizing it. Fortunately the Moderators are on top of their game. But that doesn't give me any bit of confidence that anyone is actually seeing my advertisement.

Money Question: Is there any way to make a classifieds section topic button on the opening screen????

welcome first of all, and there is a direct link, it is at the top, just under the zdriver logo, in the light blue bar.

 

I'm not too fond of our marketplace either. I've placed a few ads here and there and never recieved a single response. I've only ever listed wanted listings. But I place the same ad on another site, wont mention the .org sites name, and I get a flood of responses. Responses from people who are also member of this site but only saw my add on that site. Our marketplace just doesn't seem to draw too much traffic. And we're constantly getting "where is the for sale" section questions on this site as well. People are always posting their wanted or for sales in the individual forums because they were unaware of or couldn't find the marketplace. I think it should be included in the forum listings with all the other forums. that is probably a persons first instinct when it comes to looking for the marketplace.

 

maybe it's the term Marketplace that ppl are unfamiliar with?
i imagine most other sites have a For Sale and Wanted Link instead of Marketplace. Maybe removal of the pre-page might be a good idea and place for sale and wanted in each of the appropriate sections? or place Marketplace under a main forum header on the prominent page instead of a link that seems to blend in at the top of the prominent page?

 

i've sugggested this for quite some time now. it is kind of tucked away, needs to be more prominent.

 

I'll get to it soon, I had to take some time off to get some stuff done around the house, next week you guy should see more of me again.
