Hi all my son wanted to surprise me by washing down the engine bay. It’s an automatic 83 280ZX Turbo. Now it idle and revs fine but when you drive it and press the accelerator it bogs and sputters, can’t get it over 30 mph. Once it’s going you can maintain the speed fairly well though. I have new plugs, cables, checked the distributor and coil for water they are dry. It ran fine before it’s bath. Any suggestions?

 

So I found some additional threads on this and it was my throttle control sensor was wet. All good now.
