1982 Datsun Nissan 280ZX Turbo GL Showroom Condition Original 44k Miles - $19,999

Check out this 1982 Datsun 280ZX Turbo GL is an excellent condition example finished in Diamond Mist Metallic over gray and black, and it is powered by a turbocharged 2.8-liter inline-six backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. It has a verifiable 44,000 actual original miles, and is an original one owner meticulously kept vehicle with a spotless Carfax and Clean Clear Original Title. The original engine is stock with original plating still present on the manifold, fuel system and other underhood components.

The car was sold new at Datsun of Hilton Head, South Carolina, where it remained its entire life until it was brought up to Cleveland in 2001 with 37k miles, and stored indoors, only being driven during pristine weather during the Cleveland months. It was also used to make a few trips back and forth to Hilton Head, as shown in the spotless Carfax.

This fully loaded 280ZX Turbo GL is fully equipped with an automatic transmission, factory air conditioning, T-tops, voice alert warning system, power windows, cruise control, anti theft keypad with starter interrupt, rear wiper, headlamp washers, NACA hood duct, and much more.
The exterior and underside is in excellent condition as shown, with no traces of rust or notable imperfections to be found anywhere. The paint shines beautiful and the car looks amazing as shown in pictures. The original 15” Turbo wheels are in great condition, and brand new Lexani tires have been installed.
The interior is trimmed in gray fabric upholstery with matching carpets and dash along with contrasting light-gray-over-black door panels. Original Z-branded floor mats cover the carpets. The carpets and seats are in good condition for their age, but show some light wear as shown.

The analog gauge package includes an 85-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and a boost gauge set among a trio of instruments over the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows just over 44,850 miles. All gauges and power functions work properly, with the exception of the tachometer and oil temperature gauge, which operate sporadically. The factory cassette deck and radio work with no issues, and sound great. The power antenna is fully operational, as are all other electronic options.

A complete mechanical restoration of all normal wear and tear items were completed this month. We went over the vehicle with a full 141-point inspection, and replaced any item we found in need of repair or failure. This list included:

Front & Rear KYB Excel-G Shocks
Front & Rear Centric Brake Rotors & Ceramic Pads

New OEM Throttle Position Sensor
New OEM Mass Air Flow Sensor

4 Wheel Laser Alignment
All Engine Belts

Full Transmission Service – Fluid & Filter
Coolant Flush
Axle Flush
Water Outlet, Thermostat & Gaskets

Full Tune up:
NGK Spark Plugs
Wireset
Distributor Cap
Ignition Rotor
Fuel Filter
Oil Change & Filter
PCV Valve
Air Filter

Over $3500 in receipts for the above-mentioned items and labor will be provided to the next buyer. A check of the timing, compression, CO Check, and vacuum systems all report good with no issues. A picture of the camshaft and internals are provided, which looked like new when the valve cover gaskets were replaced as shown in pictures. The A/C system is intact, and functional.

The L28ET straight six remains stock and unmodified, and the factory coatings remain intact on underhood surfaces. Gold anodized, black painted, and rubber surfaces alike, appear to be well preserved for 37 years of age as shown.

The T-Tops retain their original interior shades and storage bags. Two repair manuals are included, are are cargo shades, t-top lock down, original spare wheel and tire, original jack assembly and wrench, Datsun original touch up paint system and wheel chuck, and Datsun original tire inflator.

This car has been treated gently and garaged all of its life. Underbody surfaces including floors and rockers appear straight and clean. The vehicle drives straight and true with no issues, and is truly a blast from the past to drive. The mechanical aspects of this vehicle are equal to its beauty – this vehicle needs nothing to be cared for and enjoyed for another 37 years. These 280ZX Turbos with impossibly low mileage are near extinct, and only going up in price. Don’t miss your chance for this excellent condition example that has been completely went over to provide a hassle free experience to the next owner. Be sure to check the videos at the bottom!

Nice car, but if you're gonna try to get 20 grand for a 280zx, I would suggest at least cleaning the engine bay if you want to try to play the whole "pristine showroom condition" angle.
