I have had four S30's, and one Z32 NA. With mods I have to say the Z32 NA was a better performing car overall, but to me the S30 has more character. My favorite is my new 71 240z, which in all honesty I haven't even driven yet! I sold the Z32 to be able to afford to make the S30 into the car I keep for the long haul.

^^^I agree S30s have the most character....and the best looking. Mine has scratches, a lil rust, old paint, no bumpers, etc......and she's STILL beautiful!

And all I can say is there must not be many 350Z owners that get on this thread. I LOVE mine....fast, good-looking, awesome handling and awesome sounds, and IMO the most like the original in character.

i say if we had a mint black s30 against a mint black z32 at a car show, the z32 would win..

at a car show? right!!!!! the s30 would take a z32 out in a car show if both were mint, in a race, the Z32 would hand the s30 its *** in reverse. lol, in stock forms that is.

A mint 1970-71 240Z is worth roughly the same amount as a brand new Z33.

You wont find many S-30s that don't have problems with modern adaptations to their antique tire and suspension technology. But a well sorted out(inexpensively prepped) 240Z can make an impressive showing at any motorsports event.

mine to... im just saying, s30 would most likely win in a stock mint condition show off in a judgement. i love teh Z32, i love the s30, to me, those are the only 2 Z's that truly matter, but wee needed teh 250z to keep the Z heritage alive, and the s130 gave us teh turbo motor.... the z31, well.... i guess it led to the Z32 so its good for soemthing huh?

oh ya, the 250Z is also my favorite Z-car. Too bad the L28 turbo won't fit in that one.

In my opinion, even though I have two s130's, I would rather have an s30. Sorry 280zx guys, but it's true. The early Z's had the most character and in my opinion, time only made the design less characteristic.

This is only MY opinion, so please don't flame.

^^^I agree. My 350 is alot of fun....but IMO, the 240Z will always be the greatest Z and definitely the most beautiful (although I kinda hate mine right now )...

Cool

Gotta be the S130 cuz I think they look the best out of the series. The S30 is too feminine looking and the Z31 & Z32 are just huge. I just plain don't like the 350Z.

OMG!

S30 WINS!
It has the best styling, best engine, and is still even winning races today, i see people are crazy over the Z32, yea nice Z, BUT! problematic motor, expensive parts, and is mistaken for a saturn on a regualar basis, but it was a technical feat when it came out, but the S30 was sensational when it came out and still is, the looks of a 240Z done right is unbeatable SEEE! how am i wrong just look at this beutiful beast!

I liek the look of the 240Z's the best, but I like the drivetrain of the 280ZX better. I don't like the cramped engine bay's on the newer V-6 Z's. I looked under the hoods on my friends 300ZX TT, and can't imagine ever working on it without pulling the engine from the car first.
