I had a '86 Sprint Metro when they wee still Chevy's. It was also carbed since it was the cheapest version and got about 70mpg if I drafted somebody on the freeway. Top speed was around 95mph when drafting a Mustang GT (I think the draft was pulling more than the engine in the car was). They also can do wheelies off the line (in reverse) lol. Nice thing about those cars is if you get stuck in the snow, 1 person can literally pick up the back end of the car by the rear fender, and slide it back onto the road. I did that a few times with ours when we had it lol.

A 240Z is pretty light. I bet one of those with a small 4-cyl could be a good high milage commuter.

I am such an auto *****...

I sold my turbo Saab last week... picked up this 92 Geo Metro XFi w/ 124k miles today. Another ugly as hell car, but 50mpg+ is worth it just as a commuter car.
