Got a new Toy-

-ota. Yep Actually it was given to me, its a little Toyota Tercel. So far it runs but burns oil like hell (it isn't gutless at all tho for a little 1.8L engine) And it also doesn't got into any gear by 4th and R. But the old owner gave me a new shift cable saying that was the problem. Well at lest I have a temp car till I can get my Z back on the road again!

Yay Toyota! (no one heard me say that... except the MR2 so it'll be happy with me and keep giving me good MPGS and trophies)

Love the older Toyotas!

There were two guys at my work that owned terecel's, same color/engine only one was a model year older then the other. They used to race once a week to see who's was faster. It always a good laugh to see them buzz down the street at lunch time.

Um what does a bad motor mount on a FWD car sound like? cuz when I accelerate it makes this horrible rapping nose on the passenger side of the car and I'm taking a shot its the motor mount. I just can SEE it to tell if it is or not...

Well so far besides that I think I have it where it will pass inspection, if not. damn it lol

I looked at the motor mount like 5 times trying to figure out what was making that noise before I noticed that the metal outside ring has slid off the rubber on the mount and was tapping against the frame! No noise now! Not to change the valve steam seals and I got a good little mpg car lol

1.8L to 1.5L
....did you lose a cylinder or something?

any way the best i can imagine is that toyotas in the 80's ran higher compression than the usual because i drove a busted *** camry wagon for a while up in washington and it flew, no problems keeping up with 80Mph freeway traffic....stopping was the problem

Well I was gonna sell it and its still up for sale but I changed the ad lol if anyone wants to buy it they still can but I think they would have to be a little nuts.

http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=733...iew&ad=2501480

Today tho I was working on the exhaust dude to the cat being plugged up. I dont think I've ever seen a 1 1/2" exhaust on anything other then an ATV before... Oh well after a good bit of cutting bolts with an angle grinder I got most of the exhaust off.

PS: Weather people/machines w/e can't tell the weather for ****.... It was suposto be partly cloudy day with like 10% chance of rain. well its a damn down pour outside now!
