When I went for a ride in Vic Sias' BSP national champion car, he was running 400lb. springs all around with Advance Design shocks from Ground Control which were valved for those high rates. I believe those are the same rates Tom Holt uses in his FP car. From posts by John Coffey over on HybridZ, you don't want to run much over 250-275 lb. springs with Tokico Illuminas. I ran 325F 375R for 5 events with Illuminas and had heat marks up and down the shafts and it felt bouncy and go kart like, the last event. I think I hurt them.

Like ZlalomZ said try and stay with the softer springs like mid 250 # ranges you are looking at . Everyone I know that tried the stiffer springs with the Tokicos
ended up replacing shocks.
