I can take a bus as far as seattle and if i leave on the 25th i'd be there on the 27th and for only $200 for the ticket and $100 to spend, sure.

well I didn't know that. I won't be able to get a Passport in time now. Those take 3 months to come back from Olympia

you can use a birth certificate too.

you dont need any such passport until after 2008 passes. just a birth cert and a dl, or pic id. i just went to bellingham last weekend and did just fine, minus the 2 hour line-up going south bound, vs. the 15 minute one north. yikes!! and dont worry e ill visit next time!!
