i'll try this again at my buddys house, he has comcast.

 

E... what the hell brah? Your Comcastic is almost 3x faster than mine?! Stupid.

 

lucky i guess. i am constantly amazed by my net speed, especially considering i had DSL before this. DSL was worthless for anything more than browsing. now, i can be online gaming, browsing, and downloading on multiple computers without a hiccup.

i did that test in the middle of the night. during peak hours i get more in the 10-15k range, but still get those high upload speeds. my ping is always low. when i play CS:S, i usually have the lowest ping in the server by a few points.

we have a couple of huge fibre pipes to the school. I used to be a restek but I don't know anymore. We are our own ISP but its Western Washington University. Thats what 16k a year gets u I guess... bout the only thing thats worth it.

pft... don't we all spend more waking hours at work than at home? I actually just got transferred from my main work office to a new hospital... had to test the interweb powerzzzz.

Your ping is low... that's good. Ping is response time. And it looks like you have cable or high speed DSL.
