oh thats wrong! you cant pave the Peak...honestly some governments need to be shot.
Nup, was thinking of someone else. Wasnt he a Kiwi? (NZ?).
Drifting is like those car manufacturer demonstration teams...technically good but with absolutely no big ***** courage...
If you dont need courage then its not racing

Wow, yeah, sure enough. It was news to me, too:

That'll ruin the bike race and a fair piece of the marathon course as well.
Maybe I should organize a targa event in Colorado. I'd do quite a bit to be able to legally drive the new pavement on Berthoud Pass at speed. Stage one would be Oh My God Road, then Berthoud for stage 2, then the canyon by Hot Sulphur Springs for day 3, and ideally end it up in Wyoming going over the Medicine Bow Range. The Newfoundland event charges about $5k Canadian for entry, and the open road ones seem to be anywhere from mid hundreds to 1 or $2k. Out of curiosity, how much would you pay in the U.S. for a closed, public roads, paved, say 5 day race? Assume a handful of classes of some kind (4 maybe), and a purse of about 5k for 1st, 3k for second, 1k for third. Figure at least some of the meals would be provided (at least a kickoff bash and a wrap-up awards feast).

Ok maybe that was a slight exaggeration.
