Because free weights are for kids with no money...

The BowFlex is for old dudes with disposable income so they can stay in shape and date the sisters of the kids with no money...

I bought a weight set from craigslist a couple years ago... I've used it about 3 times...

free weights are the real mans tools. bowflex is a cool machine though and does similare things. machines help tone, free weights do more though. and can be much more expensive actually. lol.

You either don't work out much... or hang out w/ the meat heads of the school who think they can bench a car.

lol, or i used to work out alot, played football, try to still work out, and have a really good friend thats a personal trainer. im not saying the bowflex is bad in anyway, im just saying, free weights train your muscles alot more. requires alot of strain to keep the balance and train in the motions, bowflex's and machines just cant reproduce that, however they are alot less harsh on joints for you old men

ummmm guys snw is kinda right on the training the muscles thing tho. bow flex is the closest thing to free weights as it trains your stabilizer muscles (most important for real life) take a guy who can bench 250 on a machine, he most likely cant move 170 on a free lift bench. i went away from the machine that have tracks due to that fact. just dont tell snw hes right, and i do agree aboot him liking boys tools!! ahahahahahaha
