I just found out why the ZX selling add was pulled off months ago (Not sure if I said anything about that here.) As the add was still up other places, I just figured the seller didnt want the add up at the specific site I saw it on due to costs of maintaining the add.

Turns out the car has been sold, and the new owner wants engine and tranny, to put in a 240Z. He sais he can sell the chassis, and that its rust free. Why would any one want to take a perfectly fine L28 engine (Which the 280ZX chassis is designed around.) out of what the guy claims is a rustfree chassis, and put into a 240Z is beyond my recognition. I told him I could hook him up with the guy that gets all my JDM parts, but no cigar... On top of it he wanted nearly the exact same price for the car without engine and tranny as he bought it for WITH engine and tranny?..He`s also selling the injection unit etc, so this means theres gna be "just another" triple weber L28 franken-240z out on the road at the expense and cannibalization of a perfectly fine 280zx.. To make it clear, I`m not saying anything bad about custom L28 240Z`s, if engine and such is taken out of a wreck or some rustcake, I have no objections.

My bet (And small comfort.) is, however the case may be on the high speed highway (Which we have NONE of here might I add.) my AE86 with (Soon to be.) 200 HP engine, It`s tight ratio gearbox, it`s custom independent rear suspension unit, lighter weight, seamwelded chassis with full roll cage and better chassis rigidity and better suspension, will probably outrun his (In this case.) "frankenstein." on any track here. Even though when my 86 is quite the historic museum tin box piece of a 2 (Or 3.) car generation old Group.A era..

That said, I`m not backing out of my goal, I`ll just do as designed and go with the plan, Importing a ZX is gna be a real pain, but once I have it, it will be so worth it

Either they were just not tuned right or something, but I drove a tripple weber 240z. Had an L28 block bored .5 over. Car didn't seem all that fast to me
