hey i was wondering if any of you would happen to know the the punishment for killing someone because you were felony speeding.

i am asking this because my grandfather was killed instantly because of this.

Ouch. Sorry to hear that bro.

There was a kid in one of my classes last spring who smashed into the back of a slower car on the freeway. The car spun out, flipped, and killed the driver. He was jailed and charged w/ negligent homicide, but his sentencing is still in the works (I think he's out on bail right now).

People charged with negligent homicide can get 0 to life depending on severity. I've seen people get both sides of that range.

depends also upon evidence of substances in the system of the one who hit the other--if he was speeding and doing grugs or alco0hopl and killed grandfather, mor e punishment.....as he was tsaken to hospital, he was drug tested....spozed to do that in the event of automotive accidenta--all partici[pants get drug and alcohol tested......goooood luck and i am sorry grandfather bought the farm from someone elses neglect......

yeah i'm really sorry to hear that. sorry i don't know anything of the consequences though. i heard one of those stories in drivers ed and it's always made me pay a little extra attention at intersections.
