The oil pickup and oil outlet on a turbo do very different thing, for one, the turbo outlet doesnt see any pressure or vacuum, all it sees is gravity fed oil tickling through it. Also if any RTV does get into it, it will get caught in the pickup strainer or just float around the oil pan, where as if any RTV gets inside the pickup tube, its only place is the oil pump. Also RTV in small amounts on something that sees a vacuum and alot of heat/stress breaks down.

the oil pickup tube doesnt see THAT much vac... so pish posh. i did neglect the screen but hey that's also what an oil filter is for to. it will not break down if done right, there'd be no reason or way for it to. if it were possible any other gasket would do the same as well since they are a fabric like material. RTV is commonly used on them. just dont want any access sticking out

doubt a company would suggest it if it were a bad idea, they'd be blowin motors and pay out money like crazy to people for telling them to do so. you can actually find alot of places where RTV is suggested or used. im not saying its the best answer, but it is a solution, just dont glob the **** on there
