man i just looked it all up and the only thing i see is that obama is talking about re-instating a ban on assault guns. so what. they are ugly and heavy anyway.

in fact, i found that obama has just passed a bill that ALLOWED loaded guns to be carried in national parks. they weren't before, and obama made it so that they WERE ALLOWED. get your facts strait before you go posting this ****. it's like everyone getting me all worried about my car getting taxed because of fuel mileage. well, when i look it up, i find nothing about it. i find things saying the opposite. i'm going back to not paying a bit of attention to the news. it's all dumb and it's never anything i need to worry about.

btw great post brick

the only reason that one passed is because it got attached to that new credit card rules bill. thats how a lot of stuff gets passed, just attach it to a very popular bill. sneaky? of course, but thats politics for ya.

Guns are not all that bad. Just in the hands of ignorant, prejudice people. I dont believe that they should be banned, just more controlled. Make people take classes and pass requirements of training for them just like a drivers license. You start off with the good ol C class, or crappy little pistols. Then for anything else, you have to train and pass tests and prove you basic ability to handle each class.
That and bullet control. You can have all the guns in the world, but aint worth a damn without bullets. Make them expensive as hell or tax the crap out of them. There would never be innocent bystanders ever again. If you got shot there wouldn't be a doubt in anyone's mind that you deserved it

Yeah you're so right! People that listen to Rush and Sean want low taxes, small government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and would rather kill terrorists than unborn babies. Pure insanity!!

Yeah I'm sure you'd be much better off listening to Jon Stewart or Keith Olbermann. Real rocket scientists there!!

*facepalm* geeze, ya join the military because you don't wanna be a politician and ya end up smack in the middle of the political polo-game anyway.

Gun Control: yes, please make it harder for ignorant lil street punks to get their hands on weapons. give me the confidence of knowing i can step out into my hallway and cap the lil bastard who just busted my living room window and crawled in over my sofa at 3a.m. without having to worry about getting capped trying to defend my wife, children(not yet) and home.

Gun ban: No, not a snowballs chance in hell. I'm generally in agreement with all afore mentioned statements concerning required training for gun ownership, i do not however support the banning of guns. Street punks will find a way to get weaponry regardless of the law. Like they give a rats *** about the law in the first place.

Ammunition control: sounds like a good idea to me. its only going to take one shot from my .357 mag to drop anyone breaking into my home or trying to do me harm so i don't mind paying a extra for 12 rounds and a speed loader.

in the event of a gun ban, i will continue to be armed with or without conventional firearms. i may not have my shotgun, but i know very well how to make a pneumatic potato cannon out of metal piping that con lob a potato with enough force to punch through both sides of a 55 gallon drum. add a fist full of 6 penny nails to that potato and you've got one mean substitute for conventional weaponry.

Edit: enough punks end up in the hospitals looking like pin cushions and the geneva convention will find it necessary to reinstate weapon ownership just to be humane.

Only on page so far? Where are the rational arguement FOR gun control? I am pretty much against giving the power of gun control to an government that is even half as dumb as our. But, I want to see some arguements that might actually sway me. Where are they at?

Thats because there isn't a rational argument for more gun control. More gun control = more gun crime. Look at Chicago! The only people gun control keeps the guns out of the hands of, are law-abiding citizens. Criminals will get their guns legal or not...afterall, they're criminals!

I don't support Obama, but those accusations on that website seem very loaded and I bet there is a bit more to the story for each one.

I believe there are also bills trying to get police officers assault weapons in more cities so they aren't out gunned so often.
