Feels good, but I was just driving, and at about 4k to 5k rpm I hear a small squeal that sounds like someone is beating a baby seal. I have no fing clue what it is.

 

alt. belt a little loose, but if you have UD pulleys it will just make it worse..

I've got an internship out here for the summer. Man it's hot here and it's not even "summer"!
I plan on stopping by a few of your citys (chicago, omaha, etc - going the north root) on the way back. If any of you guys want to meet up on the way I'm down even though the z isn't looking too hot. I was suppose to meet up with thomo on the way here but I ran out of time.

well, i wouldnt be driving my Z either unless you all came to my house, lol.... it dont trust it, it doesnt like moisture in teh air, so im going to be dropping everything i got into it... after i check the compression though. lol

 

I'd be alright with swinging by, we could all even meet near you so you could drive and I've got a tow rope... lol

I'm not too showy about my Z right now (windshield's cracked, paint looks like crap, you know the list...) but it would be a blast to meet up

Not really... unless you have an 82-83 5speed turbo cam. I could use some BMW parts tho...

 

i could use an EGR less intake.... that would be nice ya know.

 

N42... I have one, I'd sell it to ya for $500....

 

yeahhh..... in looking for jsut a normal dirty N42 non egr MAYBE with a turbo TPS and or throttle body on it but not necessary at all, looking to spend like around 80 bucks shipped tops, i dont need any of these crap people already blocked everything off and took it to a grinder so it looks nice and they think its worth 200 dollars.

if you ask me, they should be dropping in price, people total Z's and they dissappear but teh N42 intake is eternal!!! they dont get totaled lol...

 

Eh... price could go either way:

N42 non-egr was only on a certain model 280z, for about one year... so it's rare already. Yet more & more people know about it, so more & more might pop up, which could lower price because of supply, or raise price due to demand.
