Thats my little secret You guys will find out when it's done. I figure by April at the latest (thats motor and drivetrain complete and driving on the street). The motor will hopefully be in by Feb-March though, but then there's all kinds of other fabrication crap to take care of before its drivable. And of course none of that can be done until the motor goes in

hmm... when the word cuda' was mentioned, i thought of my close friend and his dad. they have a full race cuda (runs 9 flat all motor) and a really nice mostly original cuda, and some road runners, and a demon and sold a GTX. needless to say, his dad stocks up on motors for god knows what. and they all happen to be 440 six packs (440-6) imagine one of those in a 260 lol. but, i dont know, i dont think im gonna get the chevy 350 from the guy, i think im gonna just keep it cheap for now put the L26 motor back in it, make it look all purty again, and then decide what beast i want to create. i hope to pick it up this weekend. but i need to find a trailer. or rent, hopefully just borrow though. adn i need to help my dad get his **** hooked back up so we can move it to the other garage port so i can move mineinto the work in progress port. tha bastard. lol

oh and yeah i knew the R200 from the 3 hundo's didnt know it had to be turbo, or that it would be finned. but any who, is it bolt in or am i gonna be fabbin stuff up? or like, i guess what would be needed to complete the swap? thats the simpler question. and i guess i could search, but since its really my only question, ill take the lazy way out.

 

www.precisiongear.com has a lsd for 450 its pretty cheap compared to buying one from msa or ebay but if ur lucky enough to find onr in a junkyard an get it out of there for cheap thats always good to but when i get the money ill jus get one from them

 

so, um snw, whatcha doing with the t-5 trannys, i could sure use one.

 

well.. the the one T5 is for a chevy motor.... im not takin it. the other is a 280zx tranny 5 spd the other is the stock 4 speed... my plan is to have teh 5 spd in teh car for better gearing and the 4spd as a back up for me or my dads car. other wise. id send one your way. unless you want my to get teh other T5 i dont know mabye its just the bell housing thats diff.. im no tranny expert. better hollar fast though cause im goin to get the car this saturday. oh yeah and BTW im on my new laptop wirelessly and im gonna get some pics for you all with my brand new digi cam i got as well.
in other yet related news. got to tell my parents on the purchase from ebay of a non running car... that was a tense convo... but i won. suckas lol. w/e my dad is the only one pissed and the only reason is cuase i did it on my own for once. he was tryin to encourage me to buy his buddies 280Z.... i was like. i want my own car that im gonna build my self not your friends car with butt ugly bumpers. haha. oh well its gonna be great and fun. now.... what the website everyone orders the whale tale from and fender flares as well as the MSA front ends for the S30's... cuase im gonna need to do so soon.... body work is what is happening the first day that car touches the garge floor.

You put that big V8 in them and they handle like *****...

 

well... safley got the car home... man i got my work cut out for me... in teh engine and driveline area... everything is dissasembled. luckily i can eliminate lots of vacumme lines and emmissions **** now. i gotta go return the trailer so when i get back ill take some pics for you all... oh and i forgot one of the most important things to get wehn you buy a car..... the keys!

oh... and on a side note.. teh borg warner T5 tranny for the 280zx... does that fit straight into the 260? or is the driveshaft the wrong length? thats what i suspect.. but dont know for sure... otherwise i might be willin to sell it to ya shady...

also... i want a l28et for a good price... so you guys see a free or dirt *** cheap 280zxt holla at me... or hopefully s/c has a monster engine like it sounds like he does and mabye wants to donate J's engine and ecu and what not. cause this l26 i got... broken studs... stripped motor... im just second guessing on if i want to put the motor all back together and then in.
