My new "Non-Z" ride.

I love the old Toyota trucks. Picked this one up with a broken timing chain for 600 bones. I have an engine sitting at a buddies house I'm gonna pop in there, and then wheel it hard! In my opinion, this is the best year of the Toyota trucks, since it was the last year of the solid axle, and the first year of EFI.

What do you all think?

$600 for a truck with a bum engine seems an awful lot but what ever, as long as the other one at your friends house is free then it makes it a good deal.

what engine is in it?

You seem to know a lot about that model Toyota truck. Oh wait, maybe not:

600 bucks for a solid axle pickup, with 35" tires, and a brand new spare? I think 600 isn't a bad price at all, especially since the frame is ridiculously solid for a Canadian truck. Maybe I'm just emotionally attached to the old Toyota trucks. (And 4runners) And yes, it is the 22R-E.

Too bad the box is completely rotten. Time to pull the old welder out again!
