MSA Nationals 07... Who's going?
#201
Location this year for the West Coast Nationals will be at Irvine Lake Park (aka Irvine Regional Park)
Which is on Santiago Canyon Road (Hwy S18) still Orange, CA. Exit is off Toll Road 241 at the junction of Toll Road 261.
FYI: Irvine Park is approx 8.5miles East of MSA. If you head towards Irvine Park via MSA .. you will avoid the toll roads.
Z-Car Barbie ... you headed out this way to MSA? We have to "at least" formally introduce ourselves .. I missed out the opportunity the last time you visited California (and that was after I set the whole thing up)

cool--commuting distance--except with the price of gas, the motels on I-5 in irvine are cheaper than the round trip--------red hill road exit has a bunch of cheeeeeep motels--key inn or key motel or something--then the others are all run by orientals--they are clean and the price is low. no bugs.
last time i passed key inn the price advertised out side was 45$/nite.........and some of the rooms are waaaay far away from the office-----get a double double room and fit many bodies into the place--get extra towels from the desk or the maids room-----they never know how many are there--and there is a laundry rom for patrons use.

I have been seriously lagging on getting the Z ready for MSA again. I just never seem to find the time anymore. I still haven't even had the damage fixed from the moron who rearended me two day's after the last MSA show.
It has to go back to the body shop for that, and I have some pretty good cancer bubbles appearing at the base of the windshield again. One more coat of paint and this car is gonna weigh 4 thousand pounds. The body shop that used to do all my work is gone, the old man retired. So now I have to find a new one that won't rape me and who will do good work.
My registration is due in two weeks and it has to be smogged again. If the last 2 smog attempts are any indicator, it's gonna cost me about a thousand bucks to pass smog again. It barely made it last time. I know my AFM is toast. I ordered a new one. Pretty sure that because it's been running so rich for so long that my Cat is toast too so I'll probably replace that as well.
It's funny how on the one hand I can never wait until MSA comes around each year but on the other hand, it seems to come around too quickly. I just need to win the lotto so I can drop my car off at Chip Foose's shop and have him "Fix it"

I'd say she could hitch a ride with me, but all the spare parts I'll be bringing with me will be riding shotgun. Not taking any chances this year. I think I'm gonna see if I can somehow stick a spare (long block of course) motor, 4 complete sets of wheel bearings, a battery, and 4 spare tires in the car with me.
