As most of you know i dont really frequent Zdriver much anymore. Mostly due to the fact that its just hella depressing. I love my Z and it kills me that i can touch it or even drive it right now due to my financial shortcomings. So instead of whining and breaking my back to sqeeze it in to my fiscal abilities i will do everything i can to that damn car thats doesnt require any bread. Just time. Body work, misc. repair . . .whatevers. 1st off i think im going to take the complete block out and disasemble minor ****, clean it up, strip it of all smog/stuff thats not needed and paint it and thoroughly clean the engine bay. Maybe make some back yard *** repairs/mods while im at it. I will try my hardest to keep it from becoming a mad max project . . . .but we'll see

I don't know what to say Apollo... some times selling a Z is just the best choice. In fact, I might just sell all my Z's. Less stress...

i think the minimum i would do if i was taking the engine down like that is put in new bearings in and have the crank turned. that's my preferance. but good luck with whatever you do!

If by kicked to the curb you mean put on non-op reg, taken off insurance and parked in a secured garage-away from the weather and would be Z stealers so i can come back to it at a later date when i have some money to burn and finish what i started, then yes. I kicked my Z to the curb by that definition


I believe ive already been there and tried to do that. A level headed and extremely kind person kept me from doing the unthinkable, er, i should say made it possible for me to not do the unthinkable. And i thank you more than you'll ever know for that.

 

i meant almost kicked. i know how close u were to just totally ditching it then you said something about it being saved under certain circumstances. but yeah, just play with it use ur tools and knowledge, ur gonna have to spend SOME money though. demand a raise or something lol.
