how many of us live in or near sandyacho???

:111: i think this january is a perfect time of year for those of us who live here in sandyacho to get together in tidelands park and choose a new owner for my 86 na. and have some fun. you game???:unibrow:

hoov100 10-04-2006 05:16 PM

im only 50 miles from there and it depends on what weekend...

z-hag 10-04-2006 06:29 PM

whatever weekend in mid jan that wreckj dude can make it--if everyone lives nearby, then we can have a lot of fun with this. lost wages group cannot be the only of this bunch of screamin yoyos to get together--and that bunch up in and near canukia--their blood is waaaay too cold to come down here--let's do something fun and figger out who gets da Z. i gotta talk to allaya anyway, correct?? why not do it as a group?? hek, it might wanna become a hobbit--?? or is it a habit??

RodMoyes 10-05-2006 07:51 AM

I'm down with it...

Rod.

z-hag 10-05-2006 07:56 AM

kool--theme--perhaps a tech session and ----? so, if enough people show up it could be fun--even 2 or 3 could be fun--meet and swap Z info, and if there's still a slicktop hanging around the park, someone who is "needy"--or should i say "wanty" of piglet will drive her to her new home-----and we all learn something and even party a little?? a lot??

wreckedj30 10-05-2006 09:28 AM

Double down. I'm game. Wheres this park you speak of. And i can't fit many parts in my car, full or speakers.:unibrow: No i'm down, probably mid. jan. depending on snow.:wasted:

z-hag 10-05-2006 11:16 AM

we ain't got no snow in sandacho--park is just as you get off the bridge--first right--can't miss it--the boats are just right there--trollville--wher i live.
we are a part of their scenery and they hate us so much--they think we live for free--HA!- if they only knew!!

hoov100 10-05-2006 03:31 PM

shouldnt be that hard to find..

emo236 10-05-2006 04:42 PM

soudns pretty cool! A little Z meet....hopefully I can have my brakes and belt fixed by then....haha, or probably not due to low cash flow!!!! any one wanna chip in?!

wreckedj30 10-05-2006 04:54 PM

What belt you need emo, got them all, but if its timing i'm keeping it. Yeah shouldn't be hard to find, hoov, Well san diego is pretty big. Yeah a little meet would be cool, but my cars going to be the uglyest. sigh. well at least it's the fastest...jk

z-hag 10-05-2006 07:02 PM

i still bet my piglet will win all the oogliest z31 contests going--but runs sweet. and dry seats in the rain.

wreckedj30 10-05-2006 07:29 PM

hmmm. I want that car, that way i can swap that vg30de in. Sould be quick and what not. Is your car a man. or auto.

emo236 10-05-2006 07:56 PM

It's a common problem on Z32TTs, my timing belt tensioner is faulty which causes the belt to squek when it's cold. It goes away, but it's just annoying for a couple of seconds every now and then. It's got a pretty new T-belt, so I'm just gonna wait and deal with it.

wreckedj30 10-05-2006 08:24 PM

Oh yeah i wish it was a TT motor, it'd be in the s130 by now. But since the little turbo would spank the vg n/a im good.:paranoid:

hoov100 10-05-2006 08:48 PM

i just kinda realised something here, even if you found a way to eliminate the need to replace the timing belt, you would still have to go in there and replace the water pump, plugs, tensioner...etc, but you would still save your self ALOT of time..

wreckedj30 10-05-2006 08:54 PM

huh, you must be talking to emo cause i don't understand.:paranoid: Why doesn't someone just make a chain unstead of belt. Or even do a gear on gear setup.

hoov100 10-06-2006 07:07 AM

the vg33 has a chain, but i dont see any practical way to convert..

z-hag 10-06-2006 07:47 AM

piglet is a manual 5 spd na slicktop. driver's seat is in need of rebuild--engine needs rebuild in 40k miles--has blowby. runs very well--got me 10 tix in 1 1/2 years--if all ya want is speed, she has it--but she is getting verrry tired and needs to be torn down and refreshed. then she'll be good for another 300k miles, if treated well. her body is NOT pretty and does need work unless all the good stuff goes into a different body--that's a lot of work. she has done me well over the past 3 years i've owned her--commuted to L A and back for 1 1/2 years--every week to LA for work then around the city and back--about 500 miles per week of commute time only, plus my running around sd on the days i didn't work--so she worked hard for me--i got my money's worth out of her, and she helped me make a lot of money working, so i must not junk her just because i cannot afford to pump more dough into her. and she is of limited value imn replacing parts on my 2 turbo z31s, so, that's why i will find her a new home. i hope the responders from 300zxc will also be interested in this meet/party idea--why do z peeps need to be so aloof from each other--just because they get their info from other sources which are the same as ours?? so we will have a happening, as was asaid in the 60's and 70's (early)-----

wreckedj30 10-06-2006 09:29 AM

I told y'all imm down with the party/meet. If more people then me, rod and zhag show up then thats cool. But if not then less competition.:unibrow:

emo236 10-06-2006 03:39 PM

I'll wait until the next 60K is due which isn't until like 50K more miles....so I'll just deal.

hoov100 10-11-2006 10:25 PM

alright, we need to start searching for a date...

wreckedj30 10-11-2006 10:37 PM

you must be refering to me about the date. Well if you can predict the weather in jan. that say so otherwise be patient. Na just stop tring cause the cars already mine. zhag said so....jk i only wish.:unibrow:

hoov100 10-11-2006 10:41 PM

i only need the entire power steering setup..

wreckedj30 10-12-2006 07:01 AM

out of what the z31 or an s130. you should of told me theres one in the junk yard

bardabe 10-12-2006 09:18 AM

Im game if my RB is running by then. I mean unless ofcourse "I kill the Trend" :111:

snwbrderphat540 10-12-2006 10:15 AM

RB.....in what? your s13...i thought you had SR in there....any who...you should all make it....jan 7th......thats just a cool sounding day...

hoov100 10-12-2006 10:38 AM

what about january 1'st or 2'nd? because my school break ends on january 3'rd..

snwbrderphat540 10-12-2006 11:51 AM

really....are you in college or HS....cause if college that BLOWS...mine is over the 16th i think...starts december 13th....something like that.

hoov100 10-12-2006 03:13 PM

HS im gonna try and get both z's down there too..

z-hag 10-12-2006 04:15 PM

ok--kiddies--let's start with 1-15 and work on this with a window until groundhog day. if it is raining, as long as it is not too windy or coming down hard, is ok--lite rain is cool--we can always find an indoor place to sit and talk until a break co0mes up--it does very rarely rain solid here,so almost any day is good. it is a start for a trend vs just another weird z meet...would love to meet as many as possible--so we have a window open for the largest group. that way is most fun. we have time to workout the details, whatever day is best for most---kicking around dates is a good idea--i am available nearly all the time, because, on disability, i ain't got no life, as it were, so i can flex.

wreckedj30 10-12-2006 05:53 PM

yeah i guess i get off the first week of jan. but i still gotta pak and what not, i hope its not snowing and the weathers good. Well anywho i'm gonna show my family my house late.

RodMoyes 10-12-2006 07:57 PM

Why wait until January?

I can come and pick up the car TOMORROW!!! :)

Rod.

z-hag 10-12-2006 09:55 PM

ah, but, honey, my replacement daily driver isn't back until then, that's why i figgered on jan. i think my AE needs still more stuff-- i found today many of the parts are held on with 3 or 4 bolts fewer than original design--oops--so more work before i can drive it more than just for show--don't wanna wreck it just yet. so, first week in jan?? first weekend or second??

hoov100 10-12-2006 10:07 PM

the only thing keeping a bunch of fuel from shooting into my eye is a little drywall screw, the only thing keeping the fuel from shooting onto the dizzy is a damn zip-tie, then i think you should be able to manage with a couple missing screws...

wreckedj30 10-13-2006 06:52 AM

Yeah well, i'm not going to make until the second or third week. So since you all are impatient and such i'm going to pass anytime before, then. But if you wnt to wait for me that would be nice...:unibrow:

z-hag 10-13-2006 07:49 AM

i still like groundhog day best--but i don't have a calendar--too big to put on a boat--besides--who cares what day or time it is until the gps breaks --then ya NEED that stuff. i don't have to worry, yet. i think the closest sunday to gh day--if ya goes ta choich, we'll do it sat.

hoov100 10-13-2006 09:57 AM

i can only go on weekends, or school breaks, but i would be willing to wait..

wreckedj30 10-13-2006 03:23 PM

I graduate on the 12 of jan. so i'm done then. If you all nice peolpe would ait till the weekend after say the 20th. i'll for sure be there....well if the zcar makes it.
Oh an i need the throttle spring, mine is sticking know, it's scary.:wasted:

hoov100 10-13-2006 05:24 PM

christmas break is propably the most likely time ill be able to go, but i have about $200 in CB crap going in my z32, so i will propably be willing to go on a weekend, so long as its not sunday..

RodMoyes 10-13-2006 06:28 PM

^ CB as in Citizens Band??? Like Beau and Luke Duke??? Like Sherriff Lobo??? Like Smokey and the Bandit???

You're not going to paint it orange and put a Confederate flag on it too are you ??? :)

Ya know... They have these things called "cell phones" now???

Rod.

wreckedj30 10-13-2006 08:42 PM

Yeah but cb's are good for tracking police, especially if your friends with truckers.

hoov100 10-13-2006 10:48 PM

z-hag 10-14-2006 08:22 AM

a trucker "friend" gave me a cobra setup for a van i had--i still have that stuff--i do not use it, tho'--too, um, uh, trukker? what class wouldja put it all into?? i will sell or trade if anyone wants-----i was also given an emergency radio--set upo and use. that one i WILL keep. smaller, more compact--doesn't need special antennae, etc--good cell backup?

hoov100 10-14-2006 10:07 AM

if you got pics, please post them, what would you want to trade?

for anyone who cares, i just scored a new antenna to..

z-hag 10-14-2006 10:11 AM

wow--is on bottom of everything stored in my van. as a liveaboard/cruiser in the boating world, that means every car i own is a truck--except the AE--and must store lotsa stuff. i can find it by the time we figger the meet in tidelands park--

hoov100 10-14-2006 12:45 PM

nov. 25/6?

z-hag 10-14-2006 02:58 PM

prolly more like in jan or groundhogsday weekendish-or-so--if ya need prior to then , i'll figger out which truk it's hiding inside and liberate it and figger out how to get it to ya unless yer in da hood--i'll findja. i have the radio, antenna and something else-idon't remember what.

oooohhh!!!! palm desert--nice run in the cooler times of year--of course i'll findja--wanted to go back to salton sea area anyway--just for a drive.

hoov100 10-14-2006 04:08 PM

yeah, it does get failry cold down here in winter, you best bet would be before it rains, when it rains here, it poors. and since theres no where for it to go, it makes puddles, but if you avoid the rain you should be good weather wise.

highway 86 has gotten faster, took my freinds bike through there and topped it out without worrying about traffic or cops..

z-hag 10-14-2006 04:17 PM

i usually end up in that area when i get"lost" on the way back or to san felipe or other places--rancho something, for a seminar--there are some nice back roads in the strangest places in california--i also enjoy cruising aoong on the levee roads in the delta area, martinez to stockton/modesto. manteca on back roads--up around columbia--china camp--sonora--knights ferry--cool places--nice drives.

hoov100 10-14-2006 04:21 PM

fun drives, there is a nice little curvy, banked road that was closed down some years ago and then they built a new road, so now its just an empty road that i like to take when im bored..
