da talon!

so i posted it up before i think, but i got her running. i adjusted the shifter linkage and i now have all 5 gears and reverse working. yay!!! also, i tore out the interior shamppooooed the carpet freshened up the interior panels and put in my new seats! its so beautiful and smells great now. i actually like the car again. haha. heres the seats that came in it

the drivers door panel was shattered and the window switches were F-ed up, but when i bought the transfer case for my 92 tranny i got a new panel and hatch cover for frizzee!!

now i needs 3 plastic pieces still so im going jyard hopping soon as well as a headliner. this is illustrating that

oh and this is the mounting setup of those race seats, ghetto!

i still need to paint that steering wheel but here's the goods.

god i cleaned the F out of that interior and the engine bay is clean! one of the cleanest talon engine bays ive seen usually cause they blow oil all over themselves haha. could be cleaner though

i never fried a piston, i blew a head gasket taking out a water passage causing the car to burn coolant followed by hydro lock. and the DSM motors are VERY stout if owned and prepared right. aka ARP head studs and the evo III head gasket. with DSM link a 20G and a big front mount and some 850cc injectors i should theorectically pull 400AWHP reliably.... engine will wear faster but if i dont flog it everywhere i don't see why it couldnt do 50k or more. plus with optional boost levels it could probably go much longer and with proper care and driving. unfortunately the stock internals were not forged so they have a limit. i should bought my buddies scat rods with 2G pistons and spent only 400 bucks to have a forged assembly. but i didnt think about that option till afterwards. lol. oh well i got a Z again.

you didn't fry a piston? i don't feel like linking it but i vividly remember the pictures of your pistons that were just destroyed. i also remember you saying it was from detonation.

that was from the hydro lock. i had perfect compression almost and dead even across the board prior to the HG blowing. so it all happened at the same time
