Get a '03- '05 R6.....they're alot better looking than the new ones IMO. Then you can trade up for a 1098R!

Hey thats cheap compared to a Desmosidici RR....I think they're around 80K. And you don't have to beat on a Duc to get good performance.....LOTS of torque down low....

oh and for those that dont know what the screamer motor is: http://www.kawasaki-motogp.com/press...=press&id=1077
Now why would you say that...just because it's not your cup of tea as far as name brand or style of bike? This bike was not my first choice but the price was right and it is the style I like, cruiser. I am sure I could have got a race style bike but I wanted comfort over speed, wrist and back strain. As far as the helmet...hmmm, just get by with the minimum 40mph DOT rating plastic helmet vs a multi fiber race helmet that is DOT and SNELL approved...hmmm, so you think I should downgrade my safety because I don't ride a sport bike? I am sorry but I don't follow your logic...that's almost as silly as someone going out and getting a 600cc sport bike to learn on. I get between 55 and 60 mpg on my crap Kawasaki and my back and wrist don't fatigue. It will also do the speed limit and then some...not everyone wants to do 140mph on public roads. Snw you have been smart about some things on this forum, do me a favor and be smart about your first bike purchase. You don't have to impress anyone by getting a super fast sport bike...you could always get the new 74mpg Ninja 250r...still looks cool but you may be less likely to injure yourself...now I ain't your daddy so you are gonna do what you want anyway but I would hope you give it some thought.

no im saying you shouldn't spend the money on racing made helmets intended for 150+mph crashes when on an 80's crap bike (come on you know it is theres nothing wrong with that its GREAT for what you want it for) you can get away with a much more affordable and style fitting helmet your going to look like ghost rider on that thing lol. just overkill is what i was stating.

also.... mike you should have given me the R1 for a price i couldnt refuse. lol i woulda drove down to springfield on demand anytime you wanted Z help.

Oh man, the guy that bought my R1 got a great deal on the bike...I guess the d'ship was in a big hurry to move it. Hey BTW I still need help putting on the bumpers and airdam on the 240Z....I'm a total retard with bodywork. Some friends here were gonna help me but it keeps getting put off. Come on down!

I'll have to say I agree with thxone regarding the helmet. You need a good quality helmet no matter what type of bike you ride. The pavement is just as hard for guys on cruisers as it is for those on sportbikes!
