so its happened again, this time right by me. northern illinois university. a kid brought a shot gun into class and opened fired on the lecture hall. the shooter (with a shotgun mind you) wasnt able to kill anyone but himself, thankfully. i know a few people that go there (only girls) one an ex of mine, but i havent talked to them in a while so i dont even know how i would go about calling them to see if they are all right. either way. this stuff is getting way to out of hand and to close to home. i know last semester my school had both a shooting and bomb threat on it right around teh time of virginia tech.

man, whats wrong with kids today.


EDIT: i think i just heard there are 5 dead including the shooter now. this is horrible....

their was a shooting last weekend in Louisiana tech school. a girl went in with a 45 i think and killed two people b4 taken her life. its getting a real shame that people have to go and do this. glad ill be graduating college this summer. his is getting way out of hand.

yea it's not too comphortable trying to get into tech right after that happened. too bad to hear it was close to you. when i went to visit tech this spring i actually walked in the building that it happened in. pretty deppresing

yeah, 6 are reported dead now including the killer. found out this one girl i havent seen in forever was in the class one class before this happened (it was a lecture hall). found out though cause she was my moms friends daughter. now im actually concerned enough to start thinking about calling the other 2 girls i know and see if they are ok. or text them at least.....

WTF!!! Seriously there's a shoot out like this every week now. It was one year ago this last Tuesday that a nutzo shooter opened fire in a mall here in Salt Lake... I think 6 or 7 people died. How the fuh do you stop them tho??? Ya never know who it is until they break out a shotgun. Then they interview the family / friends and they're always "he was the nicest kid! shy... but so nice... he'd never do something like this!"

there was a mall shooting here also last week. 5 dead i think it was, and the killer got away. but this is a school. its just different when a kid flips out on a class and then kills himself. he had 2 pistols and a shotgun. shot abuot 15 people total, 5 dead and then he killed himself. there was only one other person in critical condition every one else that was shot or hurt escaping will be fine im sure.

my friend was just saying that kids need an outlet other than guns.......something like hands on with welding or wood shop or some kind of positive experience instead of shooting at lotsa others with some kind of projectile-emitting weapon....they need to build something or create something of value to society----too many kids are feeling too hopeless......too many shootings------

on the other hand, populatiuon control is a good thing......in many ways.....survival of the fittest----in the meantime, do not go outside----the unfittest may just shootcha.........DUCK.......


geez---what horrible news----how did ths place get this way-----too much dummying of america and not enough good hands on teaching of auto and wood and metal shops in many schools?????
how can this be reversed????? or do all the college aged kids need to needlessly get shot while trying to attend school????
