2007 350z

Nissan-released pics and specs, and likely pricing.

Personally, I need to get one Z rolling before I get a second one. And I should do something about my truck. Getting kind of Sanford And Son these days...

Looks like a different hood shape... but the rest of the changes are the changes made for 2006. Pretty much 2003-2005 are one Z and 2006-2008 are another. 3 years of each.
Added another 6hp and hopefully made the VQ more reliable.

Nope, never before actually. And if you'd given me more than 15 minutes, you'd see I deleted that one.

The engine is 80% new. They didn't just bump the power a little. It's even got a new designation... VQ35HR. Also, they dropped the Track model. Now, if you want the performance options, you gotta pay for all the luxury crap too. Prices went up $250 for all models except the Enthusiast roadster. It went up $500. Bluetooth is now standard on Touring and GT models.

ok, thanks. I saw that mention of the 80% new. I figured they went through it to fix some problems... but that's great that it has a new engine. I did notice dual throttle bodies now. that's new, right?

if I can afford a 350Z, I won't really care which year I get. I just don't want a base model. gotta have HID and LSD, oh and 6-speed. no point in paying all that money for an auto. If I wanted an automatic car I'll just buy a Sentra.

I'm still wondering what the 2009 Z will be like. I hope it truely is a major redesign

the 350z just seems to be a dissapointment to me. IMO it doesnt live up to the legendary Zs and are most commonly(atleast in my area) driven by people who could care less about the nissan Z car. Its just a fad right now, and they made the rear bubbly *** just like every other fad sports car out right now too.

its more closer to the z spirit than the Z32 in design by body i think.... but at the other spectrum performance wise its kinda like.... sitting on two poles. its got the V no more inline and no turbo model.... why are they doing this to us? lol.... they are just missing something.. nothing wrong with the car really... its just... missing something. oh yeah and mike... its a girls car

damned it Snowy!!!!

j/k man!

Could be there is no turbo because the N/A engine has almost 300 hp and has performace close to the Z32 TT. Plus you can always get an aftermarket turbo. As far as having the V6, didn't the Z31 and Z32 have V6s?....hasn't been an in-line Z since the 280ZX. You can also make an argument for the 350Z being closest in spirit to the original 240Z....more of a pure sports car with no 2+2 version available. Anyway, mine rocks! especially with the exhaust and intake.....if we meet up next Spring, I'll let you drive it, maybe you'll change your opinion.....

bubblebutt is closer to the boxster than the z32----z32 is a sexy shaped car.

what can i say.. i like big butts... and i love my 350Z... i dont know why people say that the 350Z doesnt capture the Z spirit.. when they made the origional 240Z they wanted to offer a sports car that was more bang for the buck.. and thats exactly what they did with the 350Z..

mike... i did make those arguments... and the Z32 is hte car farthest from the z spirit so the V6 thing was like... a given.. you miss interpret me lol... but that 350 performance almost near a z32... you take that back. lol... tell you what... ill gets me a a TT and we have a 1.2k spending budget and we race your 350 vs the TT lol... we will see whats up then haha... oooo... i know for an NA engine its a great performer... but NA is what limits its potential. and than going FI on the 350 just isnt the same as an original TT... thats all.... oh and the Z31, lets not talk about the z31 lol

Nah, I meant stock, the performance is similiar, I've even seen the 350 quoted as being a little faster. And OK, now I see your point on the engine.....since the 240 was in-line, the 350 should have been too, but I guess they had their reasons for the V6. And also remember, comparing 1990 dollars to current, the 350Z is ALOT cheaper than the z32 TT......probably even I'm sure if you bought the aftermarket TT. And it sounds SOOOOOO GOOD!! I'm keepin mine!!

yes. The same people who drove a Z32 in the 90's. or at least the same type of people.

ya, and don't compare potential. A Z32 NA stock is faster than a 280ZX turbo stock.... but we all know about the potential of a turbo car. Not everyone wants to buy a late model car and then mod it anyway.

the 300ZX TT will lose because you'll be in the garage all weekend pulling the entire engine just to replace the spark plugs and you miss the whole race!

Its an affordable fast car, missing the inline motor, any average joe can get it, and it went overboard in trying to keep up with the rest of the "sports" cars in styling. honestly, that round *** destroys it. Makes me think of like the new eclipse or something. and like I said, thats my opinion, I just dont think it has the same Z car feel to it like all the other Z cars. When I see a z32 or before on the road, I get excited, when I see a 350z on the road its about as exciting as seeing an accord on the road. They are everywhere, driven poorly by 16 yr old females on cell phones doing make up. they have no idea what they drive, and I have recieved one acknowledgement out of hundreds of attempts from a 350z driver on the road. It frustrates me

Whats wrong with a round ***? I like a little bit back there...who wants a girl with a flat butt? Oh wait....we're talking cars. As far as the styling, every generation of Z-car has been influenced by the sports cars popular at the time. The 240Z styling was influences by Jaguar E-type, Toyota 2000GT and Ferrari GTO for example.....the 350Z has some of the styling cues of a Porsche or Audi TT. And I'll agree with you that some 350Z owners are jackasses but thats true of every make of car. There were probably 16-year old girls, applying makeup (probably no cell phone though) driving Z32s too.

I wasnt driving during the time of the z32....and Im not saying influence is bad, I am saying IN MY OPINION todays sports cars are not a good influence for the Z car.

Well I guess hes entitled to his own opinion. But I don’t agree with him. If you look at the 350Z you can see the lines of a Z. if you were to take off all the badges and everything that told you that it was a 350Z. lined it up with all the first gen Japanese sports cars ever made. And asked everyone what car the 350Z got its styling cues from. Im positive they would all say the 240Z… for as long as ive been driving ive owned nothing but a Z. so when it came time to get me a new car.. it had to be a Z… and if someone tried to tell me that my 350Z isn’t a real Z.. then I guess they don’t know their Zs.. cuz the 350Z is the evolution of all Zs past..
