1996 300zx TT, 75k, 400whp, 13k, WA
new price.....
1996 300zx twin turbo -- T top. (Last year they made these in the USA, very rare). 75k miles. EXCELENT SHAPE. 9.5/10. 400whp on pump gas, low boost, never been turned up. Everything works. AC blows cold. Great weekend cruiser car. Mod list below:
1. HKS Turbos GT2530s/ ETS 3 Row Front Mount Intercooler

I bought this car on ebay. I guess he traded it for an S2000 and the dealer put it on ebay. Drove from Idaho Falls to get it. Kinda pissed though. Got to looking at it at home and the Greddy catback is SHOT. The muffler joints were rusted to the point that they were just dangling there. The rear tires are not the right size (too tall) so they rub. I don't know whether I believe it really has GT2530's because it still has stock downpipes that dont work on those turbos....?? Very solid car though. A few changes and it will be the car I THOUGHT I was buying.

Oh hell, that really sucks. I thought the car was "as advertised". I'm sorry it has those issues or I wouldn't have posted it here on the forums.
It makes me upset also because I talked to the guy and he never mentioned ANY of that to me. I guess the extra $$ I spent for mine was well worth it.
Hopefully it won't be too expensive to fix. Let us know about the turbos, are they what he said they were? Do you think it has the 400whp he said it does?
My rear tires are also 18" and they don't rub.. they are 275/35Z/R18 , if that helps.

Its a nice car. Just dont think the turbos are HKS2530's. I bought a B&B catback for it. Wish I would have held out for a pre-'96. I didn't realize it is almost impossible to get more than 400 whp with the ''96's without adding vtc and cams from a pre-96 car. Oh well it does drive very well. Damn obdII!!
