84 300zx turbo for sale -

I have a 1984 300zx turbo for sale. I am asking $5200. It only has 124,000 miles. Runs great. Just took it to the mechanic and they told me its NOT the head gasket so thats good news, they said it Has hose leak somewhere - Tires are almost new. Only 40k miles. pw/pl/pm/ps - digital dash display - automatic - no stereo - inside is in good (not great) condition - body has some minor damage, but nothing horrible. It also says "turbo" on both side boards and on the rear end (that was my girl friends favorite part) It has new belts (timing, alternator, water pump), new front brakes, new thermostat, new radiator cap...and all new hoses.

any questions please email me - car is a lot of fun, and gets a lot of compliments! You'll love it if you can put in the time and money!

I wouldn't say 40k miles is "new" for tires.

the most body damage is what you can see on the hood. The previous owner had a "minor" fender bender. Other than the body is in excellent shape. A lot of the black paint is coming off the trimmings and showing the chrome underneath. A lot of easy fixes for someone who knows what they're doing. I just don't have the time or the resources to fix this baby up right now. I'm pushing the sale cause it's a car that I wouldn't mind holding onto for when I do have the time and resources. I just thought I'd post this classified on here in case there is another z lover who would be able to appreciate her more right now.

I know this car has great value - i found a car similar to this one (with fixed up body and paint job) on cars.com with more miles being sold for 10k. This car doesn't need much to be in perfect condition. Its in the shop right now getting all the hoses replaced, but as soon as I get it back I'll take more pictures and get pictures of the engine and close ups on the tires and everything

Correction... they were ASKING $10k for the car... obviously it wasn't SOLD if it was still on cars.com.

I could list my car for $50k on cars.com... that doesn't mean it's worth $50k.

Just sayin...

EDIT... looking at the pics, the car is pretty clean (minus all the dents), but is it an AE? I didn't see any mention of it in your description, but it looks like it has the AE logos on the fenders.

I bought it under the impression that it WAS. I was trusting and didnt do the research on it that I should have. I've since been informed that it may NOT be. There are minor things here and there that don't match up (such as paint being silver on top and black on bottom), however, I was also told that a lot of the AE's where modified by whoever there [idiotic] previous owners were.

As soon as I get my car back from the mechanic I am going to check the model # and find out for certain whether it is an AE or not.

good point. But there were a bunch of other models (not my year specifically, but others in the mid/late 80's) that were "asking" for similar amounts. So I based my "asking" price on that.

AE's had the rear fender flairs. Pretty sure all the AE's did, dead give away.

Still seems like youre asking a lot for it. Yeah you put work into it, but that doesnt matter, and the autos are definitely less desirable, not to mention the face that its not an AE (regardless of you saying it is or isnt.).

Definitely a cool car and the AE paint scheme has always been a favorite of mine.

Good luck with selling it.

Maybe that much if it was in perfect condition with that mileage. I'd say its worth 2-4k the most.

Lol, $5200 for that? Makes my 88T look like I found 5 pounds of gold in the pocket of a coat I bought for $1..

I'd say sell price of that car would be in the realm of 1500 if you fixed the overheating issues.

Sounds like you need a new fuel sender unit. I have one in my garage at home that you can have if you want to pay to ship it. It's been out of the car a few years, worked when pulled, but I make no promises.

Let ne know if you want to give it a try.
