Help with my 78' 280Z engine Please

So I went out to start up my Z. When i turned it over i heard a spraying noise and it smelt like gas! I popped open the hood and gas was spraying out of the pipe that goes back and forth near the valve cover. I circled it here and put an arrow near where it was spraying.

Main question is: What is this? Whats the part i need to get to fix this? and How?

Thank you!

Welcome to ZDriver!

It's called the "fuel rail" and it delivers the fuel (gasoline) to the fuel injectors.

The fix depends on what's wrong... it's most likely a loose clamp.

Make sure you buy a Haynes manual or download the FSM (factory service manual) for free at www.xenons30.com/reference

Nismo is correct, however you can also have an injector hose sprung a hole or leaking where hose seals to injector body. I also noticed an old style injector fuel feed hard lines with lots of hose connectors which can cause lots of problems and one such as starting a fire. Try getting a late 78 Z OR 79 and later fuel feed line that has no hose connectors on top of it. Then you'll have a safer more efficient fuel feed line. That is one of the best upgrades on an early z intake manifold. Do it soon and save the Z. Good luck.
