G-Nose Headlight Covers

G-Nose Headlight Covers
Hello, my name is Mark Clapp from Kansas City, Missouri USA. I'm an individual and have been making plexiglass parts like headlight covers and windows for over eight years now. I supply several replica manufacturers like Race Car Replicas and restoration shops that restore original GT40s and Jaguars. I recently started making the headlight covers for the 240/260/280Z G-nose cars. The plastic I use is shatter proof and will not crack so rocks/road debris are no problem. Also you do not need special drill bits as for acrylic; any old bit will cut fine with no cracking. I also include L-braces cut from the same crystal clear plastic to mount the covers with. From a distance, the L-braces disappear and the covers look like they are floating on the car. I'm asking $189/pair. Feel free to email me at: mclapp1(at)att(dot)net and call me anytime at: 816-286-6982 to talk about the covers.
Thanks,
Mark Clapp
Thanks,

I just wanted to post a few pictures of some of my covers that builders sent me after fitting them to their cars. The red car has the clear L-braces that I include to mount the covers with.

Hi G-Nosers, let me help you take your car up a level for this year's show and cruise night season with a pair of headlight covers. I make them to use either with or without the trim rings. You can drill them with any old bit since the plastic can not be cracked. I've delivered dozens of sets with no complaints so far. If you don't use trim rings, I make them to flush mount with the edges of the light buckets. I include clear L-braces to mount them with. They really complete the aero look of your G-nose Z. I'm still asking $189/pair and shipping is covered with $20.
Thanks,
Mark Clapp

Nice work Mark. Should be quite a few people interested. Also is it possible to make tinted ones? I know there are people that would like those too. Good luck with your product, and welcome to Zdriver!

Hi Wildman, thanks for the compliments and I can make them tinted.
Aaronis31337, sorry I didn't see your post earlier. I make the light covers in the OE size to fit under and mount with the trim rings. I also make them in a smaller diameter for a "flush fit" with the headlight bucket edges. I include L-braces made from the same crystal clear plastic to mount the covers with. From a short distance, the L-braces disappear and the covers look like they are floating on the car. For drilling, you don't need special drill bits like you do for acrylic (Plexiglass). Any old bit will do fine with no cracking. I've attached pictures of my covers flush mounted on a super custom G-nose. This owner also added stick-on chrome trim to get the look of the trim rings. Feel free to give me a call anytime at: 816-286-6982 and my email address is: mclapp1@att.net if anyone has any questions.

Hi Guys, its been a while since I posted, but I am still making the light covers for the G-nose Zs. I've attached photos of my covers on a really sharp G-nose. The owner added some chrome trim for the look of the trim rings. I'm not going anywhere so if you could use some light covers down the road, don't hesitate to email me at: mclapp1@att.net or call me anytime at: 816-286-6982 with any questions.
Thanks,
Mark Clapp
