FS: 1971 Turbo 240Z

Up for sale is my 1971 Datsun 240Z Turbo (clean title). With two kids now, my priorities have changed and I no longer have the time or funds to keep tinkering with the car. The chassis is a series 1. It’s a California car and I brought it with me to Florida when I moved here two years ago. There are some rust bubbles on the rockers but no rust anywhere else on the car. Interior has a crack free dash which is really hard to find on these early Z cars. The car has been rewired with a 15 circuit painless wiring kit using Deutsch connectors.

Engine is a L28et from a 280ZX turbo with T-5 manual transmission. Compression is even across all 6 cylinders. Stock turbo has been swapped for a t3/t4 hybrid turbo. 2.5” downpipe to 3” exhaust all the way back. It has a NPR intercooler with a Blitz BOV. Engine management is a SDS EMS-F. Fully programmable fuel injection and ignition timing with direct fire coil pack. Settings can be changed on the fly.

The car drives excellent and pulls hard. It’s been very reliable. ACT clutch has less than 500 miles on it. The car was street tuned with a LM-1 wideband.

Specs:
• L28et, P90 Head
• Stage III T3/T04B .57 trim .63 a/r turbo
• SDS EM3-F
• Profec B
• Magnecor Spark Plug Wires
• GM Alternator
• 15 Circuit Painless Wiring kit w/Deutch connectors
• Custom Fuel Rail w/420cc Injectors, Bosch style connectors
• Stainless Steel Fuel lines
• Malpassi Adjustable FPR
• Walbro Fuel Pump
• Scottie GNZ DP
• 3" Exhaust w/Dynomaxx Muffler
• NPR IC
• Blitz DD BOV
• 60mm Throttle Body
• T5 Tranny w/Mustang Shifter
• New ACT Clutch and Pressure Plate
• Stainless Steel Clutch line
• 3.70 LSD
• RT Diff Mount
• Toyota S12 4 Piston Calipers
• Stainless Steel Brake Lines
• ATE Super Blue Fluid
• Lowered (unknown lowering springs)
• Front and Rear Sway Bars
• Urethane Bushings
• 15x7 Graphite Konig Rewinds
• Front Air dam
• Rare Front and Rear Euro Bumpers

Minor Issues / Work to be done
• Paint is old. It’s presentable but will eventually need to be repainted.
• Got in minor fender bender when my old tranny locked up on me. No frame damage but there is damage to the passenger side fender, headlight bucket, the corner of the hood, and front bumper (See picture).
• Windshield wiper motor not hooked up.
• Reverse lights do not work.
• Turn signals do not work. They worked when I bought the car. Never got around to investigating why they stopped working.
• Speedo does not work.
• Fiberglass Air Dam has a few cracks in it.

$5500 obo
