For Sale: 1982 280zx Project car. Not currently running. Needs engine rebuild (had lower engine knock when last started 3 months ago), or perfect for V8 swap. Body in good shape. Has fiberglass body kit with repairable crack in front air dam. Interior needs work. Was a great daily driver until the engine conked out on me. I need the space and hate to see her sit idle.

Asking $700, or will consider reasonable offers.

wow, car looks pretty nice. you're even near me, i'm in Arlington. i think i've got too much to work on with my 83 zx to pick this up though. no use in having 2 cars if none are in decent condition, eh? got a couple questions anyways:

do you have a pic of the interior?
does the ac system work?
is it 5 speed?
are there any performance mods(asking since there are appearance mods)?
is it turbo?

I don't currently have pics of the interior. I'm going to try and get some taken this weekend. The A/C is there, but the compressor needs to be replaced. It is a 5 speed manual. No performance mods, and it is N/A.

bummer about the compressor, i need to get one soon. driving to school in back with no ac isn't very fun. anyways, i'll give you an offer of $300 and i can come and pick it up this weekend. i'll be in the colony area tomorrow anyways. let me know!

 

Know what you mean about the a/c.... my daily driver doesn't have air either. It wasn't really common in 1950. Unless you count rolling the windows down

Thanks for the offer, but I can't drop that low. I'd love for her to go to someone who will do something good with her, but I've got to be a little practical. I can donate her to a charity, and get a tax deduction, even though she's not running. The amount of that deduction is more than your offer. I'd hate to think of her getting crushed (which is what they would probably do), but cash is cash you know?

I'm not in a hurry, so she's not in any danger of that right now. We'll see what happens and hope for the best.
