1982 280ZX Vibration - Question to NismoPick, WildMaN and all 280ZX mechanics

Hi:

Recently I noticed that my 1982 280ZX starts to have a small vibration after being in use for about 20 minutes approximately.

What could be the causes fot that? Recently I replaced my 280ZX radiator, the fan clutch and radiator hoses. Also, an A/C shop repaired the air conditioning system and replaced the spark plug wires of my 280ZX.

Could the problem be related with timing?

Thanks in advance for your help.

are we talking idle, driving or what are some of the other variables. any noises? it very well could be the fan clutch coming on. when it starts to vibrate does it stay that way? the a/c part would be east to figure out as it would only happen when the a/c is on. the spark plugs are just a tune up and timing should be checked after changing them as spark quality would change perhaps. the rad and hoses just keep fluid in and cool. so some questions for you.

Maybe the mechanics bumped something, causing a connector to come off. Like Shady said, we need a little more information to help you. Does it do it while idling? Or it is doing it while sitting idling, or driving? It could be a low idle possibly. All aside, we need more to help you. We are here for you man.

Shady/WildmaN:

The vibration occurs with noise when the car is at idle or when the car is parked with the engine ON. The vibration is feel inside at the 5-speed ****. When I drive the car the vibration and noise do not occurs.

What can cause that situation?

I'd check all your electrical connections in the engine bay first. Sounds like they may have bumped a connector and disconnected it

take off the water pump fan belt and see if the vibration and noise goes away. make sure you start with a cold engine and dont run it too long. dont wanna overheat your engine. this will eliminate or isolate if its the new fan clutch.
